Siamo consapevoli della grave carenza di infermieri nel nostro sistema sanitario, la stiamo affrontando con interventi urgenti come il reclutamento di personale dall'estero e anche grazie alle interlocuzioni costanti con la Fnopi stiamo valutando soluzioni a lungo e medio termine per sostenere gli infermieri che abbiamo in Italia e per migliorare il loro profilo professionale. Vogliamo infatti rendere più attrattiva questa importante professione non solo economicamente, ma anche con migliori e più certe prospettive di carriera. Così il ministro della Salute Orazio Schillaci, in un videomessaggio inviato alla presidente della Federazione nazionale degli Ordini delle professioni infermieristiche (Fnopi), Barbara Mangiacavalli, e alla presidente della Conferenza dei rettori delle università italiane (Crui), Giovanna Iannantuoni, in occasione dell'incontro 'Sfide e opportunità della professione infermieristica', promosso oggi a Roma da Fnopi e Crui."Guardiamo ai giovani ed è apprezzabile il video motivazionale realizzato da Fnopi - ha poi aggiunto Schillaci - per far conoscere ai ragazzi delle scuole superiori le opportunità offerte dalla professione infermieristica e per incoraggiarli a intraprendere questo percorso formativo e professionale. La giornata di oggi rappresenta un'occasione importante per un confronto istituzionale e costruttivo per delineare insieme le strategie per la professione infermieristica.
